Since 1972, the University Student Senate has served as the unifying voice for half a million students across 25 CUNY campuses. Our foundational mandate remains our bedrock: preserving the accessibility, affordability, and excellence of public higher education while protecting student welfare. Under the banner of "One Mission, New Year," our slate is dedicated to bridging this historic legacy with bold, forward-thinking innovation. If elected, we are committed to expanding upon this enduring mission by delivering tangible solutions that address the modern student experience. To remove daily financial and physical barriers to education, we will aggressively push for state legislation mandating OMNY transit access for all CUNY students, while fighting to secure the remaining $700,000 in State funding to massively scale our pilot support programs. Furthermore, we will modernize how our university connects by launching a centralized digital portal for campus and USS resources, alongside expanding the reach and impact of the USS scholarship. By tackling affordability, communication, and engagement head-on, these unified efforts represent our contribution to that "One Mission"—ensuring every CUNY student is empowered, informed, and fully supported in the year ahead.
